On 5th of March 2022 the Drive Challenge Tour held its 2nd event of the year at Penina Golf Course.

The event was well attended by junior golfers from around the region, and, Vila Sol had 10 of its Junior Golf Academy players participating

In wet conditions, Vila Sol Juniors fared well, with 2 of our players as FPG debutantes among the medals with other team members in the medals too

On 13th February 2022 Vila Sol GC hosted its 9th monthly junior competition with 11 Club juniors and juniors from Vilamoura GC and Amendeiora GC.

On 5th February 2022, Amendeiora Academy course hosted the 1st Round of the National Drive Challenge. VSGCJA had a great turnout for the season start.

 On the weekend of the 15th and 16th of January the 1st round of the National Drive Tour circuit was played at Amendoeira golf course in the Algarve. 

On the weekend of the 18th -19th of December the Quinta do Lago Junior Open was played at Laranjal Golf Course.

27th of November Mercedes Star Sul Invitational

On Saturday the 27th of November, Mercedes Star Sul hosted their annual  Invitational tournament which was played at Salgados golf course.

We are happy for Arthur Fischer from the academy, who received an invitation to play in this tournament.

20th-21st November 2021 - Grand Final National Drive Tour

On the weekend of the 20th -21st of November the Grand Final  of the National Drive Tour circuit was played at Montado Golf Resort. (just before Lisbon). 

Martim Pinto Johansen from our club had made the finals through victories in the sub 12 category during the season.

6th -7th of November the National Final of the Drive Challenge circuit was played at the National FPG course at Jamor (Lisbon)

We  are very proud of Martim Pinto Johansen and Ethan Prybys Orton from our  club who represented the south region in Sub 10 and Sub 12 categories.

On  the weekend of the 16th and 17th of October the 4th round of the  National Drive Tour circuit was played at Estela golf Club. (just north  of Porto).

On this occasion representing the club was Martim Pinto Johansen in the sub 12 category.

The  tournament winner of the stroke play category was Francisco Reis from  Orizonte GC and 2nd was Guilherme Grabner Moreira from Oporto GC and 3rd  was Mart

The 7th monthly competition of the Trofeu Vila Sol Junior was held on Sunday 26th of September 2021. This tournament is open to all clubs. Vila Sol on this occasion had 9 players representing the club.

It was a fantastic day with thrills and spills and eventually finishing in the dark.

The 18 hole competition was won by Vilamoura Golf Club, Joao Crasi Alves, with a Stableford Gross score of 32 point

On the 18th of September the Juniors of Vila Sol Golf Club played in the National Drive Challenge south region finals, played at Penina Golf Course. This time, we had 7 players representing the club in Sub 10 and Sub 12 divisions, we could not be prouder of them.

On the 4th of September the Juniors of Vila Sol Golf Club played in the 6th round of the National Drive Challenge south region tournament played at Quinta do Vale Golf Course. This time we had 3 players representing the club in Sub 10 and Sub 12 divisions.

In 1st place for the stroke play category was Vila Sol's Ethan Prybys Orton with a -3 under par round. In 2nd place Rodrigo Sousa

On the weekend of the 28th and 29th of August the 4th round of the National Drive Tour circuit was played at Palmares golf course. On this occasion representing the club we had 3 players in the sub 12 category.

Big congratulations goes to Arthur Fischer and Ethan Prybys-Orton for making their debut on the Drive Tour.

 The 6th monthly competition of the Trofeu Vila Sol Junior was held on Tuesday 24th of August 2021. This tournament is open to all clubs. Vila Sol on this occasion had 7 players representing the club.

Special mention goes to Isabella Dance,  Leonardo and Nikola Farina playing in their first competitive 9 hole competition.

The Miramar International Junior Open 2021 was played at the Miramar golf club on the outskirts of Porto from the 20th to the 22nd of August. We had 3 players representing the club on this occasion.This particular tournament was attended by just over 100 players from around the country representing there club as well as some international players. Miramar Golf Club were fantastic hosts of the comp
